Off to college!

Dear Dr. K,

My son is going off to college.  So exciting!  Yet so sad!  I want the very best for him.  So I purchased the Bodum Ibis Cordless Water Kettle.  On Sale!  At Target!  He says he just wants something to make macaroni and cheese in but I signed him up for the 19 Meal Plan Husky Dining Dollars Plan.  Should I take the Bodum Ibis Cordless Water Kettle back?  Is it the black model.  It IS a bid morbid I suppose.

Dear Homemade Cooking Kitchen,

Oh my. This is exciting. On sale at Target you purchased him the Bodum Ibis Cordless Water Kettle and you want to know if you should take it back because it’s black which could be perceived as being morbid?

Well, Mom, I would ask yourself a few questions –

1. Is your son homosexual?

2. If not, do you want everybody to think he is?

Take the Water Kettle back and get the kid something he can really use — a kegerator. This will guarantee he gets laid and has friends — no matter if he’s straight or gay.
